it is... but it was just a pic for inspiration, not one of mine...maybe someday, when I have the space to park one...

installed the ignition housing....
taking a look at the timing advancer... there's nothing to be advanced when installing it... is the timing always correct when lining up the notches like the manual says? When would you like to advance it?
the manual says put grease inside the groove inside the rotor.. i've read somewere about using copper grease for the timing unit, is that the place to put it?

mine will be somewhere in between as far as the looks go, some customizing, but leaving some crucial ST looks in...
what's your experience with the pods and the 4-1 exhaust next to stock?
Sorry for the delay in responding. My experience has for the most part been excellent once I got them setup properly.

Didn't do a lot of work lately... busy realizing a little dream mentioned earlier in this topic...
Had the chance to buy me a 1979 KZ 1300.. and took it!
Bought it from a guy with a big collection of old racers and classics, and was selling the 1300 for the family of his buddy with a big collection as well, but who died two years ago..
It has been standing still for some years, he cleaned the carbs and I heard it start and running just fine, but I'm having
some iddeling problems and some running on all 6 problems, maybe carbs still a little dirty.
If I can't work it out I'll open a new topic maybe... just to get it running to drive it to the registration office.
the plan is to keep it original, maybe some minor upgrades or restoration.
paintjob is the only thing that's not original and has one bad spot and is not the original colour, so maybe get it
painted in the right colour.
But first I have to finish the ST before I get to far in it, so maybe in a year or two...![B) B)](/media/kunena/emoticons/1.png)

Are you positive about the paint not being original? That looks like the stock color. Ed

pretty sure.. I think it's just green, not the luminous starlite blue that looks like green, and has blue in it..
it has a 1,5 inch spot on the tank were the paint came off because the bike fell down due to a flat tire... for the rest it's like painted last week, and the bike has done 35k, and in some places just looks like it's painted over, but did a very good job!
and the decals are just stripes that are put over the topcoat and not finished off like factory kawasaki, in the corners one goes over the other.. I think factory decals have clearcoat over it?
the guy how sold me the bike thought it was original.. I think it's not..have to find out...

Nice 13 there, I think you will find the standard stripes did overlap each other. They did on my ST and I had 3 original lots of bodywork for that, Not necessarily original though, i hope you do the bike justice.
