Well not much progress this week. Spent most the week working on building a lift. I have enough back issues without having to bend over or set in the floor to work on it. This evening I did wrap up the shifter conversion. I guess it's permanent, for a while now anyway.
For some reason the board started rotating my pics? No idea what's up with that.

Ok got the lift done.
Back to the bike mods. Hard to find stuff to do while keeping it rideable. Had to adjust the chain this morning so I was looking around and noticed the chain cover was boring. So I started drilling.

well wed. was the day. i rode it home, put it on the lift. ate supper and got started for about 3 hrs.
got home last night and finished it up.
i have some parts to get started, waiting on some and lots of cleaning and polishing to do.

Did the previous owner modify the frame? It looks like there is an odd angle on one of the backbone tubes (see yellow circle). Ed

good eye ed. not sure what is going on there. doesnt matter much they will be removed and frames gussets installed with the hardtail.

Been a while since an update. Got lots done but still have lots to do. Back brake, wiring, frame paint, chain conversion, Lower forks, and Im sure Im missing lots of things. Here is a couple updated pics.

If the filament in the high bean bulb fails, the low beam automatically turns on to keep the headlight lit.
If the filament in the low bean bulb fails, the high beam automatically turns on -- at slightly reduced voltage -- to keep the headlight lit.
The slightly reduced voltage when automatically switching to high bean is to reduce the risk of blinding any oncoming traffic.
