Don't do it !

Those wire wheel bikes are starting to bring good money. A wire wheel bike is worth $1000.00 to $1500.00 more than a mag wheel bike if it were to sell to a international buyer. No kidding.

Clean the bike up and do some lite polish to the engine cases.

Every where you ride the bike a crowd of people will be checking it out.

Only on the street for 2 yrs before going into storage? Wow, too bad the owner made so many changes to it. It can be put back to all stock if your willing to spend the money. Original exhaust will be some $$$. Replica seats are available, blinkers too. Not sure about the grab rail? Never looked for one. Original paint can be replicated, tank and side cover badges can be found no problem. Or just get it running and have fun!

Yup, get ready to be swarmed at gas stations by guys saying "I had one of those in High School!, or I WANTED one of those in high school! How much do you want for it?" B)

The guy I bought the bike from us supposed to have the badges, turn signals and maybe mirrors. The bike has been down on the left side. I see flat spot in crash bar, road rash on grip and peg. My guess is that's why it was parked. Speedo shows 6k. Kinda wanna make a street fighter out of it :)

Probably be a lot cooler back to stock or close to stock. I'm not looking to sell it. I bought with the intent of making a street machine out of it that makes me smile everytime I whack the throttle.

It's your bike, so do what makes you happy. If it were 100% original I would say you have a responsibility to keep it that way  ....but...its already been changed so go for it man! That's my vote anyways.

Before going all out on the mods just get it running and cleaned up. After you get it running good then think of other things to do.

There has been many riders/members here that have bought bikes and just tore them down to the frame for mods before knowing the bike even run. They usually show up later as "projects for sale".

All the help you need is here for basics and mods.

That's my plan !! Get it running half decent make it shine a little and smear a fresh coat of paint in it. After I get to that point ill decide if I feel like making a street warrior out if Oscar. :)

DO NOT make this nice old bike a street fighter.

If you do, you'll kick yourself for the rest of your life.

It is what it is, let it be.
