...$3000 to $4000 all day if it was in Mint condition. Especially, outside the USA. As it sits, without knowing all that much about it, I'd drop no more than $750 on it. Just to restore and flip. If the engine ended up being toast, you could at least get your money back by selling the pipes and body work alone. At $750, that is, not $2000.

...To be honest, having owned several '69, and '70 500's, along with a '72, I wouldn't put good money into anything later than the '72. Everything after was a detuned version and for me, the thrill was gone. After owning the '72, 500, I purchased my first of two 750's. Just got my 1st '72 750 back from the guy I originally sold it to 35 years ago. Oh, happy day!

...To me, the primo 500's were the '69 and '70. Those were the real Widow Makers!

...1969.

...early 1970.

...late 1970.

...all others are pretenders! ;)

...can't ignore the '71, or '72, either. They were still pretty rough, tough and ready.

...something about that "laser blend" gas tank that was very cool at the time. I did miss the tank indents, though. They gave you something to lock your knees onto during acceleration! Very thoughtful, I just don't know why they ever got rid of them???
