Whats a H1 worth??

Hi everyone im looking at at kawasaki h1 500 triple for sale. It has compression, the owner doesnt know if it runs or not but seems to be all there. Not origional paint but all parts there. Im just looking to see what something like this goes for?

Let's face it, all the owner would need to do is turn the key and push down on the kicker to solve this great mystery. I would offer him $400 and see if he takes it. Ed

The pipes alone are worth bucks to a restorer.

I'd check for compression & a free spinning motor. If it has those, you can probably get it running easily. I might give him 6-700 if it has a title, compression & spark.

They are fun bikes & increasingly rare. But they do have pretty good aftermarket support, compared to some older models.

if you get that for anywhere south of 2-2500 with a title you will be doing well imho....oh and let us know

An H1 is worth having another for a parts bike if you plan on keeping it for a long time. Priceless if you like 2 stroke kawi's because the restore price tag is limitless. 70cents a cc with title. See what he says. He obviously wants to get rid of it and you don't want to pay much because if your like me you want all the funds to go into the restore.

Thanks all for the info. The guy wants $2000 for it as it sits :dry: So thats not gonna happen... He keeps telling me its a 4k bike all day long etc. I said yeah if it was original paint that ran with no miles on it and a title that was built and never ran hahs :lol: oh well thanks anyways for feed back

H1's are notoriously expensive. It it needs crank work that will set you back $500. The paint alone can be $1200-1300 for the correct candy. Parts are available but they are not cheap. I bought two parts bikes and even with selling off unneeded parts I'm still into it $3,500 and I still have to pay the painter! You really have to love them to own and restore them.

That one looks pretty good and the exhaust looks sound. It might be worth $1000-1500

i sold mine with chambers and 13k on the original clock for 3.5k. $750-1k as is .

Yeah thats a nice bike sven and im just gonna pass on it. If i had all the money and no other bikes i would say whatever sure but not with 3 others in my garage haha :woohoo:
