You need to run alcohol injection for the 3rd stage pulley which I think puts it in the 135whp range ish.

I seen that thread, I actually like the brace on the top vs bottom. The zx14 is a simple swingarm look, so I was thinking zx14 swingarm, zx6 wheels with extra spacers as I thinking Id rather have the 5.5 rear vs 6. and a zx 6-10 front.

So some good news and some bad.

Bad - DHL lost my Bimota kit in Germany..they are trying to find it now..

Good - Secured 2010 R1 wheels full forks brakes front and back, foot controls, etc. I picked the R1 based on I like the swingarm braced underneath and I found some good deals. A side effect of the New R1's is they have the 6 pot caliper that look pretty bad ass.

What's left to get? Swing arm, rear axles, front fender and shocks.

Bimota kit arrived and it's Bad Ass and high quality, better than some of the fiberglass items I have seen to date. I will post pictures soon.

Secured works perfomace shocks and swingarm and fender now too. So I have now everything I need on its way. Hopefully at Xmas time I can put together a moch up.

Ya I'm pretty excited. I read a lot of bike magazines, and look at other builds and I haven't combination of vintage race, fi, and modern wheels/suspension other than the occasional Japanese builds you find on the Internet that are not in English. . I'm still a little unsure I made the right choice on going modern but I'm sure after driving it I will happy I went that way.

Wow, this will be very sweet. Congrats on the find. Les's stuff is the schiznitz and Leon's frame brace kits are great. Using them both on my build. Good luck, I am sure you'll find all the help you need on here....especially to spend your money!!

Thanks man.

More stuff came in. Works performance shocks 07 R1 swingarm w/axles and 09 R1 front fender. All I need now is the wheels. They should be here anytime. Then I need a weekend to start it all.

how wide is the pivot of your r1 swingarm?
i am doing an r6 swingarm conversion right now for chonus and i had to mill .3515 off of each side to get it narrow enough to fit it into a kz 1000,plus bore the bearing bore out deeper to move the bearings in to narrow it.

25.9cm outside to outside exactly. What was yours? Also the R1 pivot axle seems a lot wider than the the kz pivot whole, but I haven't pulled the KZ one yet. Did you have to modify the axle? Does it look the same as the one in my pic?
