Those carbs have the later smoothbore bowls on them. I have three sets of 29s. The early sets have a more rounded protrusion on the bowl, the later set is more squared off at that point, like in his pics. I don't see anything on his carb bowls that looks like a pump flange :S Whatchall smokin'? :P
The very early smoothbores don't have the 17mm hex nut drain plugs, but have drain screws instead.
Until he pulls his pods off and gets a pic from the inlet side of the carb bodies, we won't know if he has smoothbores. :laugh:

I will get a couple more pics when I get home. The bike will not be a restoration project, I wanna get it running and ride chit out of it!

Prolly just paint it flat black with some clear.. Not gonna be a beauty queen.

Yep, definitely VM29 smoothbores.

2000 ZRX 1100
1976 KZ 900- Daily Driver
1980 LTD 550- Dalton Highway survivor!

If it has tits or tires, it'll give you problems!

You can tell looking into the inlet(rear, filter side,etc.) side of the carb.
Go here and study this page. Then find a few articles on smoothbores to learn more.

seems like the dowel pins don't line up just right.. frustrating. i even tried after a couple of these..



still no luck though. so how do i get these cylinders to work?
