Very well done indeed! You are to be congratulated. Many who don't know the value would have scrapped that bike based on the before photos. Must feel good to ride that beauty.

Incredible job!!! That is a VERY VERY VERY good looking bike! Did you get the 4-4 pipes from Z1E?

Thank you all for the very kind words, it means a lot.
Mcdroid- Brava beer is made here in Ontario as a parallel brew to Corona and is just over half the price;a slice of lime in it, like Corona, and you're good to go. I am told Corona is the only beer manufactured that has a fecal count so I save money for the project and don't partake in as much caca!
KZJOE900- I have had the bike for about 4 years and started to take things apart, then got a little bit discouraged with anticipated costs and then got hooked onto KZRider. The last 2 1/2 years was the most productive generally but as always it's time, money, work commitments and the like.
OMR- If you can believe it, the gauge came on the bike. I thought originally that it was an emblem on the tank cap but one day when stripping parts off of things to sort out what was next I discovered what it really was. The lens was totally obscure by sun damage and had all kinds of spider cracks in it. The insides were great but the float was gone. At this time, I started to see the aftermarket units come available and took a chance on buying one to see if the lens fit and to get a float. Bingo, everything was adaptable so I had the cap re-chromed and that's what you see.
Part of this exercise was to see if some day I could get a bike in the bike of the month area so we shall see what happens.

By the way, the people at that QSPS site where the caps come from are awesome to deal with. Many people are now selling them here though.

Testarossa The bike is a blast to ride for sure. It will take me a while to get used to it though as it is totally different than my '78 LTD. The engine is really crisp even for new but I think all the upgrades especially dialing in the cams makes a huge difference.

I've got a 74 in like you started condition and have put it off for over 7 yrs, you sir are motivation! I know how much works goes in a build what you like custom, can only imagine what goes in one trying to bring it back to original, it has to be rewarding to just gaze at it. My hat is off to you.
