I didnt take a before pic :pinch: but this is pretty much what I started with.
Started cutting and welding.....the vision I had when I started was satin black with red wheels and wide white wall tires. But once I found the surprise under the paint on the tank I instantly knew I had to use it. Im now going for a modern style rat rod look. Future mods to include custom intakes and converting to 2 39mm Keihin flat slide carbs
Let my know what you guys think.

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

Thanks! I saved it the best I could, I think the spots that are sanded through along with all the colors add a very cool rat rod feel to the bike. I got the image the way I wanted it then hit it with satin clear.

Im about to the tear down stage and getting everything ready for powder, Im going to do the frame in satin black, but I am undecided on some other things....
Will probably have the wheels powder coated in satin black as well (unless someone puts a different bug in m ear)
I am really undecided on my engine though. I think ill do the main case, cylinders and head in satin black as well (with the edges of the fins sanded) the chrome that is on the valve cover is pretty pitted, the clutch cover and sprocket cover are "ok" but not perfect, So Im taking ideas on "accent" color for my other case parts. I dont want to go with a bright silver or aluminum paint. If you look close at the pics I have i painted the two outer covers with a mag wheel pant but I dont really know if I like it or not. I was also thinking of maybe using a hammer finish (not textured)
so......fire away with the ideas.

Im also proud of myself for remembering to take pics along the way. I usually get so wraped up in what im doing I never remember to pic up the camera.
Very time consuming work when you have a limited machine shop at home, but here is the jist of it.
