Thanks. It also has a baffle in it as well. I made an insert about 10 inches long and wraped it with fiberglass and tacked it in the header. Its still pretty freakin loud at high rpm's though.

I have a few bikes and many with pods. what happens when i get a side wind is not so good. they look great and dont allways work so well.

You actually came up with a great idea when you uncovered the old paint under the paint. While the odds of finding a cool old school scheme under would be rare. You could airbrush one then repaint and sand back down giving the same look. I bet we see people doing this in the future. Kind of unearthing the past. Very nice work on the entire build. Is it fun to ride? Also if you have an old beat up tank with a cool old job this method would give it new life.

Had to ditch the 34mm Keihin flat slides and went with some Mikuni 34mm round slides. Runs pretty good. Still a little fat on the pilot but its close. Took it for the first trip around town today. What a blast, its nice to finally get to the pay off stage of this project.
