Grudge KZ project starting again.

Decided to redo the KZ and put the big motor back in it -for those that don't remmeber me I had it setup for the street several years ago - I have owned the bike for about 20+ years and its been in serval different combos -- the last time out with the big motor on NOS it blew a head gasket - we rebuilt it and then thought we had a cracked head as it was sucking air --- I stripped it all down and was jst going to put a mild street motor in it and be done -- we I changed my mind we found out that the JB weld is coming out of the intakes so we can fix it.


Chassis is getting amakeover - getting light, new wheels a 16" cbr 900rr front wheel and a zx10 rear wheel, shortened zx14 forks, about 4" longer.

As soon as we get the swingarm built I will update some pics -- motor is a1500cc button start and it will be fed 80-100 extra HP of NOS once we get it dialed in. Currently has 40 mikuni's on it but I am about to sell them I think and put fuel injection on it :evil: Hopeing to have it done for next season.

Thanks man - yeah i got busy with the 14 an havn't messed with the kz much after it poppped that head gasket - but back at it now.

I post a few pics of the motor later -- looks just like all the others tho - just with big holes :woohoo:

Wow...I can see where the JB weld was needed....those are some PORTS!

yeah the motor makes some power - in our car tire bike it went 7.77 @168 wiht a 60shot on it.

Oh YEAH, 15 to 1 compression on spray. Bet that makes some BIG power. Use to tell people low compression on spray was for non tuners. :laugh: That's why I ran low compression. :laugh:

Yeah we cut the tops of the old pistons down and stuffed a bunch of base gaskets in to make sure it woudl start - -about 4 years I went 8.90s on it with a 40 shot weighing 240 before leathers -- now i got the big compression stuff back in - pickedup a tenth on motor in the 1/8th mile before we hurt the gasket so with that combo and now i got a little 140lb jockey and plan on shedding about 40 off the bike i'm looking for some good numbers -- hopeing we can go some 8.30's on it at least.
