Yeah the 14 kinda pulled me away from the kz stuff - -man 4 years ago I had about 4 bikes, frames, tons of motors etc.. -- got rid of almost all of it cause I was playing the 14's and didn't think i would fool with the KZ anymore -especially after blowing the head gasket --- and once I got the 14 running so good I figured I woudl just put the kz on the street -- but now have a renewed interest. Not many used to think that bike could run with the new stuff but they will see :evil:

what #s do u get with the 14?

I have been 8.50's on it 265 suited -- I can't ride it to save my life. Thats on NOS -- haven't ran the 1/4 on motor -- i did get it down to a 5.68 on motor tho which should be high 8.90's.

With my little guy on it we haven't really gotten any good clean runs on it lately - best to date was a 8.001 in Michigan.

that sounds fast to me. what do u expect to get out of the kz?
when the kz is done, what will u run it against? or should i say what class, i'm not up on the classes and stuff. i just like to wath them go. lol
i hope to get my kz1200 to the track for the first time next summer. i have been road raceing it at the local track, but have never drag raced before.

I am hoping with me on it that i can go 8.70's at least.

It will run in street et mainly where its all handicapped racing and then we will stuff it with as much NOS as it will hold and run it grudge where you don't show your times cause your betting vs other bikes and first to the finish line wins.

so u will not be that far off the zx14 #s then. u said u ran 8.50's with it.
that would be pretty cool to run competitively against new the stuff. I’m sure that would put a pretty big smile on your face.

Yeah it won't be to much slower than my 14 - my 14 is pretty fast and might be one of the fastest stock bore and stroke 14's around. SO yes teh kz will be competitive with the newer bikes -- i'm going to keep it flat black and dirty so people think is a POS and then really hurt some feelings when they get drug down the track. LOL

this is fuckin cool

Picked up some new (to me) glass bodywork today! Tank is all glass- has some holes from a crash but hopefully we can patch it up.
