Great work,

Blue.. thanks for the kind words.
Media blast, high temp engine paint and bake! The covers are just media blasted at this point, while I toy with the idea of polishing them. But they may end up painted as well.. lol

jydog wrote: Hey Jack, damn nice bike. We are both doing the same mechanical type of work on nearly the
same bikes but in totally different ways. Nice to see a different perspective on things. Your
work is much cleaner by the way. I don't know how I missed your build up to this point. Great job
taking this KZ into the 21st century. Id say I cant wait to see her done but I don't want to spoil
your fun. Cant wait to see the crotch rocket kids walk by this one and say "What Tha" and you will
have to wipe drool off it.
Thanks Marc, why do you think I been following your thread!! I gota steal some ideas where I can.. LOL Don't know how "modern" I will make her, but I will get an E for effort for sure.

mike996 wrote: Would really like to know more about your wiring project for I have a J model engine and Moto Martin rolling chassis that will need all the electrical and a bit stumped on getting that started. I finally got my donor motor but need to get the electrical side of things worked out before going any further.
What would you like to know? Anything specific? I will document as I go along for sure and will help out the best that I can. So feel free to ask away.

A Dyna S or 2000 is a great choice for ignition setup. I run a Dyna S on my 900.
However for this particular bike I am running a stand alone setup (microsquirt) that will control my fuel injection and also manage my ignition curve.
The wiring will be "harness-ish" as I will be wiring everything end to end with multi conductor cable and molex connectors. 9 pin to the left control, 6 pin to the right, 4 pin to the rear, etc. I may or may not do molex on the M-Unit side and just piggy back everything in. I will figure that out this week, it may be overkill, but that wouldn't be the first time on this project.. lol
