you know...it often goes unsaid but.....the coolest thing about this site...or one of the top ones....is seeing these bikes put back together and ridden and it also going on half way around the world and knowing i would do it just like that....i would dig that bike ,and it turns out so would folks everywhere...in very limited numbers of course...like say a handful out of 5 billion...yet we find the bikes...and find each other and help and learn..all here

your bike and the effort to ,locate, purchase, transport, and re-love into a daily ripper....is a great example and in 2011 one of the ones i see as a bar raiser

Amazing job mate, simply amazing. There's something about seeing a restoration done in such a way as to say, "I think it looks better than when it came out of the dealership." Very well done.
I'm not able to see the second video though, but the walk around is very cool. Those bikes look like jewels sparkling in the sun! ;)

The reason I couldn't see the second video was that I was trying to watch it on my IPod. For some reason, sometimes it just won't let me see everything. Oh well, watching it on my comp was worth it, the screen is MUCH bigger! ;)
I really miss driving on the left side of the road. After living in Northern Ireland for 5 years, it sure took some getting used to when I started living back here in the States. It was awesome to see it done again. Thanks for the tour mate, very cool.

Oh, and +2 for what trianglelaguna wrote...

The the exhaust mounts are the rear foot peg mounts.

I used the bracket from the Kerker pipe kit..."however" did have to make a few adjustments.

Its difficult to see the bracket in the pic below...but may give you some idea of the setup.

Oz, my mistake, I thought I saw a picture of a clamp the goes around the tube near the footpeg in one of your previous pictures.
I don't want my rear pegs in the normal spot, I want them higher (on the frame) as I use them when I just want to relax

What you saw was the way the "PO" previous owner had it set up...with some sought of weird alloy clamp arrangement.

The trouble with that was the right hand foot peg was 2" higher than the left. :S

I still have that bracket..can take a pic if you want a closer look.

that wierd clamp on mount is how 3 out of my 4 z1r's have the footpeg and the headers(kerkers)mount coming from it.

i used two of them to "level out" the passenger pegs.after much complaining from my wife :pinch: .

they are made for the right side, but with some finageling i got one mounted to the left side and got the pegs leveled up enough she found it acceptable  .
