Preparing to run and duck for cover but I think it's one of the nicest looking AND I would prefer the shaftie. Solid looking sinister machine. You did helova job on her. You better be proud. She is a beauty.

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

My low profile filter cover arrived today so now I just have to install that, adjust the valves and my tank should be getting lined tomorrow and I'll get to see if she runs!

Curious as to what that looks like, please help the imaginatively impaired!

Brave indeed to have the tank lined just after getting that nice new paint work done. Mine was dipped and seems OK for the past 3 years but if rust ever shows up again I may go with coating it too.

I was just looking at it again. It is in the exact same position as the first picture you took. WOW! That is dedication to composition! Did you put tape on the floor to mark the position? Then I re-read it again. I see that is a photoshop. Any pics of how it turned out? I really like the plan!

Take it from me cuz I found

Sure, the ELR kerker is designed for the later motor which has a somewhat different sump so the pipe came too close and was hitting the oil filter bolt.

APE sells a kit with a low profile cover, new filter bolt and new drain plug. The kit is designed for lowered drag bikes but works perfectly for this

Pipe is back on in the right place, also got some flat steel and cut out a new motor mount. The one which is on in the prev pictures is the end piece of the engine guards that were on it. It was thin and bent up so 1/4' steel should work better

Thanks for the visual! I see a couple of things are different from the MAC on mine, the clearance issue for one but the flanges are welded to the pipes it appears in the photo. Mine still use the Kaw collars.
