Does the mod i did makes sense in these pics..
if u look at the bottom of your tree, u can see how i had the boss drilled off, and a new thinner inner installed on mine. this allows the tree to sit 20mm. lower. Thus the front end raises 20mm.

Makes sense to me! Good idea by doing that. It's also good to see these pics right next to eachother. Nice idea!

Wow your top triple is a lot different than mine. i have the 91 zx7 forks. My top triple is flat on the top and bottom at the stem hole. So if you find you want to lower your forks some it might be worth checking into some some of the other triples available for these forks. Mine looks the same as yours except for the stem mount area.

What is the diameter of your forks at the top of each triple tree?

when mix and matching triples don't forget to check the leg to leg width and the offset from the stem to the legs.

I was hoping you could find a pic of the stock top tree, to compare to the pic's i posted.
The post in front of my tank, is for a steering damper that i have yet to install. No time for my bike right now, and a Low priority.
This is the mount i used. it is from a 78 RM125, but there are many many others out there just search Ebay.
Maybe others can chime in here. i think the fat bars(1")have 7/8" handles so that they will accept the stock grips, and controls?

I have not checked the diameters myself. Am I looking for bars with handles that are 7/8" to fit stock controls?

Just an update, I found out a friend at work has a buddy who owns a machine shop :woohoo: so I think by the weekend I should have it back and should cost me a case of beer!

Sounds good. Just so you know if you were considering oversized mx bars they will fit 7/8 controls as they taper towards the ends. With that said they also leave little room for them. Enough though.Mark you say you got those mounts from a 78 rm? that doesn't sound right. The new bikes have just now started to come with rubber mounts. Unless they switched to solids then back to rubber.

I was browsing ebay last night and there are a looooot of models that apprently used the same style handlebar mounts. For example there was one listed that looked the same for a CR250 from i think 1997. These mounts look to thankfully be veeeeeeery common!
