well im just cleaning my pistons. maybe karma will come through and my pistons and bore will be in the manual guidlines....

after engine carb cleaner, razor knife, and a brass brush. each piston is labeled and will be going with the block to the machinist tommorow for measuring.

well i think this is all the machine shop should need. anything else?

that should get them there.
powder looks nice!all that and a dime sack,haha!

Joe, did you ever check to see if you still had 900 pistons, or if a previous owner had bored out that 900 cylinder?

my cylinders and pistons are at blockhead machining here is stuart fl for a tolerance check. fingers crossed. ill have #'s for you guys.

well it looks like a piston/bore job has come into play. better now, than later.

My humble is to focus on working with what you have. Get some gaskets and any other parts you need to assemble the bottom end and get it together. you have a gorgeous frame that is begging to be put back together. Now is the time to focus on cleaning up/painting all the parts that are going to bolt on to that black beauty While you are doing all that (and it's ALOT), keep your eyes peeled for a lightly used cylinder and piston kit. Either from a member here, craigslist, pitstop..... wherever. Staying busy with the details will help you wait until a great deal on the cylinder and pistons turns up.

yes, i am going backwards, but i really want a larger rear tire. i am going with a zx7r 96-03 rear end. the arm and shock are on thier way. time to pick out a rear tire.
