ive used it on my old car projects for years, works good!
anyplace underneath where you can get all of the rust this stuff will kill it,also works good in bottem of fenders/doors and quarter panels where moisture gets trapped in seams
Still recovering, some days are better than others.

Testarossa, I live in the San Antonio area, and hopefully the 66 will look as good as my bike when we get finished with it.
Plummen, thanks for the info I've never seen Rust-Mort before.
Here’s a pic of the 66 before we pressure washed it. It had sat in a garage for 12 years and then got push outside for two before we pick it up. My son is only 16 but he thinks it’s going to be entirely his, well maybe someday.

For the exhaust canister to 4-1 collector, have a special adapter fabbed or did it just work out?
I see the weld joint but curious just the same... Sweet!

The exhaust canister is a slip on for the Yamaha R1, I had to cut the header down some and weld in a short pipe that matched the ID of the header. the mid pipe that came with the can was to long and bent the wrong way so I cut it turned it to match and welded it. the mid pipe is stainless, and I kind of like the way the weld looks.

Thanks, I've been riding it without the fender some and every time I stop somewhere somebody comes up to look at it. I had already painted the calipers when I got the canister off ebay for $75, it matched really well. That was dumb luck, I can't take the credit.

Yes the rear cal will get painted blue like the front, and the rest of the body parts will get green with some sort of blue and silver stripes, not sure of the design yet.
The frame is a 76 KZ900 and the side covers still had the KZ900 emblems, I'm not sure if I'll put those back on since the engine is a 78 1015 with a 1075 Wiseco kit in it.
I did have trouble whit the alignment so I took the bike to RLM in San Antonio and Robby the owner made me fell stupid. He got the rear within 20 thousands of perfect, and he ordered me a 3/8 offset sprocket so I didn't have to pinch the frame. The rear wheel sprocket carrier had to be cut down a little.

the back wheel .020" within the front wheel, or the 2 sprockets, within .020"?
how did he go about finding the alignment?
did u have to offset the swingarm a bit?
