They act ugly, but it's a bluff, they can't fight, they're slow and stupid. Opossums are actually very beneficial to have around! They can't get rabies, and they're immune to venomous bites from scorpions, snakes, spiders, etc. They eat ticks, scorpions, centipedes, any dead stuff that happens to be lying around, etc. They're a force against Lyme Disease and similar diseases.
Those ugly teeth convinced me. :woohoo:

I hope you get better...
Kudos on adopting a dog.
I adopted this little mutt a few years back and she has been the most fun, loyal, and thankful dog I've ever had..
It's amazing... rescues know where they've come from and act accordingly...

Pluto was that way. Never barked at nothing. Didn't try to bight people I trusted but one guy that lived in a trailer next door came over uninvited and I heard him go off. I came out and this guy said, "I'm going to shoot that dog." I said, "then I'll have to dig two holes." He didn't come back.
I miss old Pluto.

I've only heard Honey growl a few times, and it chilled my blood!
My doctor highly approves of Honey, since my weight and blood pressure are both down since she rescued me.
Back in March, the weather was finally warming, so I had the door propped open and the dog just wandered in. I walked into my living room and there she was!
Just pathetic, but well-mannered and eager to please. If she'd ever been anyone's pet, it'd been a very long time. I suspect that she was dumped, I live way out in the sticks, and sometimes shitty people drive out here and dump their unwanted critters.

My old house had an old out house in the back yard . It had a wall that was shared with the people next door and a possim slept in there for the last ten years . I put a wind shield and some rags on thefloor for her. The dogs would catch her in the middle of the night up on the rose arbor but i never let them get her. I am old and tired of killing

I had to bathe Pete a couple times, he never bit me but his claws fairly shredded my forearms!
Edit: I realize that this makes no sense without a quote.
I'm talking about bathing my possum, Sweet Pete.
Like that sounds any less weird.
