I had a poor looking black plastic Chain Guard on my bike when I got it. Cleaned it up real good and then applied a black "Plastic Compatible" paint from the local big-box hardware store. It looked like it just came out of the OEM package when finished so, I was very pleased with the results... just a thought.

Best of success, :)
Bill

Bill are you referring to Krylon Fusion paint?

Sorry, I'm out of the country so I can't check my work shop for the brand of paint... I've used so many brands I just can't remember.

Best of success, :)

I have been ignoring the KZ 650 the past couple of months. Got in some good rides though, South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana. Here is a picture of my KLR in the Tetons.

Now that the weather is cooling off a bit, I am back to work on the 650. The gauges are now on the bike.

Today put a primer coat on my body work. I hope to spray the color and clear coat this weekend.

Well here it is completed. I finally decided on a color, not original. It is a late model Dodge color (it is probably the same color as your mini-van)with pewter pin stripes. I used PPG Omni paints. Everything else is stock. I must have done an OK job, it drives like a new 30 year old bike. The picture will expand if you click on it.

Great job and beautiful looking motorcycle. You make it look so easy but I know there was a lot of hard work in-between those pictures. :)

Wow... "new 30 year old" sounds right to me!

That is a really nice result. Well done.
