I have been looking around and got a wacky idea. I kind of want to run a turbo on this thing. What would be a good turbo set-up for it? How long do you guy's think the motor will hold up iff i ride it normally? How many pounds of boost? I was thinking around 6 or 7 psi? I can make the turbo header, thats no problem. My buddy has a mr turbo set up for his 78 1000 that he isn't going to use, would that turbo be to big? Im pretty sure i could use the intake and other things on the 650, it has a super s harley carb on it.

well, i flipped the clubmans around tonight, and it looks killer and i love the feel. Now the gauges tick way up in the air and look stupid so, im going to lower them abnd i think it will look better. Il take some pics, and hopefully a video of her running tommorow.

nice lookin ride.. do you recall what jets you are running. I plan I setting up my kz650 the same - pods and a either a kerker or a vance hines.

i like the look of the flipped up clubmans, but comfort is key.

traded my classic Kz's for a 2001 Kz1200r

thanks squints, im running 115 main jets, and 17.5 pilots. I have the crappy emgo's on there now but im getting k&n's in the near future. I loved the way they looked that way to, but it just feels better with them flipped like a cafe bike.

Ya that's the stock tail section, i removed the chrome fender, and welded the light off some metal stock to the frame were the fender originaly mounted. Il snap some pics of the bike as of now, and how i mounted the light. I don't belive the 650sr had mouts for the duck tail, you would have to fabricate those for the tail to fit.

I got it running decentwitht he pods, but it still has a bit of stumble off idle. Im thinking about putting the stock air box back on, but im going to use the airbox hoses off the kz 900 so they will fit the 26mm carbs on there. Here is the link to the boots, www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=303

I will do this over the winter when i cant ride it....lol

I ended up putting the airbox from my z1 on the the 650 and it fits good, now i need to mess with the jetting again im sure. I am also trading the 4 into 1 vance and hines for a 4 into 1 kerker from another member here. I put the orginal fender off the z1 onto the 650 and it looks cool. Il try to snap pics in the next few days.

Decided to go a bit different route with her. I mocked up the kz 1000 swingarm and rear wheel that i had on my z1. The kz 1000 swinger is about an inch and a half longer than the 650 one, so it gives the bike a nice stance. Here is what it looks like as of nw. Sorry bout the crappy photo, i took it brom my cell phone.
