I'm going to be cleaning up the look for this cafe project useing some diamond plate that I have. I love polished diamond plate and have used it on different projects that I have, so this one will be no different. Here is a mock up of the side covers that I'm making:woohoo:

I found an issue with the swingarm, there is to much play in it. I have a swingarm from an 80 model, but it is just slightly wider and wont go into place. I'd like to use it because it has bearings rather than the bushing. Has anyone swaped swingarms, and is it ok for me to just put ajack in the frame and open it up just a tad (and i do mean a tad) to put the swingarm in place? You can see where i circled in the pic, where the frame is wearing out the inside of the bushing. the caps that go on the 80 swingarm will prevent this from happening.

i realized after I posted that the frame may have squished in from ovwe torqueing it from the bushings being worn out and hammered. we are only talking about maybe 1/32".
I'll tackle it next weekend and post up on it:cheer:

I know this is a little slow going, but I got the swingarm in useing of all things, the scissor jack out of my car:lol:
anyway, she's back on two wheels and ready for the steering head bearing upgrade. The pic also shows you a little of the relocation of the electrical components so the side covers will fit close to the frame.
I was thinking about tire sizes. was debating spooling up a 17" wheel to the hub, would a 140 be to wide?

do you know if there are orings on the t or not if so then you may be able to just replace the oring or maybe use some sort of sealant that is fuel proof and dab that on to seal it. just some ideas that may be cheaper than buying a tee. otherwise call z1 they probably have them

nah, its rubber that is molded to the T itself. I looked at Z1 a while ago for this item and didn't see it. I'll look again
