Great job on the side cover cutouts! I've seen so many hack jobs on those. Looks nice!

Don't know if air flow at higher road speeds might tend to lift the covers (as sometimes happens with pods), but may wish to consider a back-up along with tight new grommets.

Thank you Patton, I am going to do this. It would be a heartbreaker to lose one of these on the road. Very good suggestion !!

Waiting for the headlight brackets, I decided to fix a detail that has been bothering me. The rear brake does not have a real good return spring as I made the rearset from scratch and did not think about a spring mount. I was looking at Graves Motorsport, they have something close, but it will not fit the CR 450 master. So I went to Lowes and cheffed up something on my own.

The Bronze bushing was 3 dollars, and had a .375 I.D. which after come massaging on the linkage with a file on the drill press, fit right over the vertical aluminum shaft connected to the master.
I then found a faucet washer, drilled it out to .375" I.D. and slid it on the vertical shaft to center the spring. Added an aluminum washer to keep the spring on top of the bushing.
The spring fits neatly inside the master bore where the rubber boot fits.
Pretty neat, and cost about 7 dollars.
