Thats 1 way to take some more weight off.
I had the same issue with mine. i chose to shim the cover out a bit. i put 3 washers around each of the 4 cover bolts. then i had to lengthen the shifter shaft a hair.
It worked but now mines heavier. lol.

Wow..well been out of town working for a while. Home for Christmas. ahhhhhh
So first thing i walk into the garage to check on things, and I got woman mess all over the place....ohbooyyyy.

Well progress has slowed, today I had a few hours and the rough edges of the countersprocket cover modification got the best of me.
So I took a file and blended the sharp edges into a radius, then sanded and polished them. Looks much nicer.
