My BadAzz Z1 .... 4 years in the making ....
03 Aug 2008 11:56
Hey all -
First let me thank many of you whose assistance made building this bad boy possible. It has taken me 4+ years, many nights in the garage, many nights daydreaming, and about 10K to complete. I just got back from my maiden voyage to snap some pics and cruise around. It is fast and looks exactly the way I pictured it would when finished .. old, but new!
I posted a bunch of pics in the gallery (in hopes of getting on the Bike of the Month radar, heheheheh)
Here she is ...... please let me know what you think ..

Very, very nice, very, very clean and very, very tasteful, there's absolutely nothing about it I don't like - great job. And those front rotors are sweet.

I actually just got some sticky rubber glue from the craft store and put them on about 3 minutes ago. Wasn't sure how to fasten them without screwing up the paint. Figured I would go for the rubber glue stuff. I'ma take her for a spin in a few and pray they stay on.
Definitely looks better with the badges. I'll have to snap a pic and post later.
Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I admit I was exctited to post the pics here and get everyones reactions. I don't know anyone else who even knows what KZ or Z1 is. My neighbor thought it was a new model. He has a ZX11. He asked if I wanted to trade ...

Out friggin standing!
I personally wouldn't touch the tank with badges for you already have them on the side covers.
Extremely clean lines and detailed work, excellent!
Just love it..
When I see completed projects like this, then I know it's still worth the extra time, energy and $$$ we all put into our envisions/creations. Truly beautiful!
