Would you be interested in doing a how-to thread on metal polishing for those of us who just can't get the hang of it? This bike had better get a bike-o-th'-month nod or else there is something wrong.

Very nice
I had a C2 in blue, I can't say I can ever remember the stripes being like that on the UK C1s which were silver. In fact I vaguely remember having a Kawasaki t-shirt with the curvy stripes on it when the C1 came out. I fitted chrome clock covers, chrome chain guard, painted the wheels gold and put flatter bars on it. Loved that bike. Oh and it had a stubby little Alfa 4-1 on it which exited on the left unusually. It sounded great and was a match for my pal's 750E. We thrashed those bikes everywhere.

i could never have anything that nice looking for fear of messing it up. hence why i make it a point to own crappy bikes that go fast. so when i come to that sad point where i lay it down or wrap it around something, i dont ralph at the thought of all that precious time making it look so prestine, i ralph at the thought of all the go fast goodies i just ground to shite on the street.
your bike is beautiful, please dont mess it up. your bike is a representation, no, an ambassador of classic Kawasaki KZs. and it damn well better run as good as it looks. yep, thats all i gotta say.

Since we are up for show and tell, here is my 1977Kz650 Custom with the big motor. I have since painted the brake calipers black and the motor now has the Gpz cams.
I matched the Moon Dust Silver from a set of original paint bodywork I picked up from shoeman. The pinstripes I airbrushed myself and there is only the red stripe as I felt the light blue strip wasn't a good fit for the bike.
