Image was too large. Here's a pic of my '77 KZ650C1 (44k miles) . I'm original owner. All stock except chrome chain guard and S&W shocks installed in 1979. Ed

that has to be one of the cleanest 650's i seen in a long time!
damm nice bike you got there.

did you do anything to get her to shine like that or just never ride her?
so i guess that is what mine looked like new.
i'm jealous and hate you

Beautiful bike, you don't see a lot of the blue ones around and certainly not in that kind of condition. A true unmolested survivor.

Very very nice. Like kawaskiman said. I hate you also.
Seriously you have done a wonderful job keeping the old gal in such nice shape. I had to spend over 1000 hours of restoring to get mine in top form. Your bike looks like dkmk's (Dave) who has a nice, similar colored blue 650.
Keep the shiny side up:)

Way to go, Ed. So that's what a C1 colour scheme looks like....
Nice colour and the pinstripes appear to be subtly different in design from my C2.
I'm going to swipe some of your pics to compare with my C2.
Great to see another well-cared-for survivor. Congrats.
PS: Just saw your other post about the mileage thing on the 4th of July.

That looks great. It's hard to remember that far back but that's about what mine looked back in 77, mine was silver though. Yeah Rick the stripes have sharp turns in 77 and in 78 the silver had a blueish/greenish tint to it, about the same color as the first Z1R's. In 78 the front master cylinder changed too.
