My KZ project

I have been working on this for a while now but have not posted any pics yet. The bike is a 1980 KZ550 standard. I figured this was a good bike to do some modifications to. My goal is to get it completely done for less that $1000(that will hopefully include tires, battery chain and sprockets). So far the biggest single mod has been changing it to a mono shock. I used a ninja 250 swingarm and linkage. A Suzuki SV650 rear shock. That combo seems to be very nice. Here is a pic of the bike i started with. It probably should have been scrapped but i love these old Kawasaki'sB)

Engine painted, Yoshi pipe modified to fit my KZ(it was off a Ninja 600). The handlebars are only temporary ones.

I took the top end apart to put new gaskets in, checked the vavle clearance. After i put it back together i painted it with PJ1 engine paint. Iturned out really good. Hopefully it holds up over time:)
