Thanks guys, she's my pride and joy....i'm going for a cruiser street fighter hybrid with a kind of dragon theme, you'll see on the tanks where the frame comes up i'm doing a chromed spine on the frame and on the tank the vertebrae will gradually fade away under the 'skin".

Ta's again, if you see the conditions and tools i have to work with you'd be surprised:)

Mcdroid Jeez...I want to personally thank you for saving that GPz...I would have never believed that someone could transform a GPZ into a chopper

How do you no its a gpz for one, just a question. And second just because its not your taste doesn't mean you have to bash it.

I'm not much into choppers either, but that is a damn nice looking ride. Quite an improvement over when you got it too. Good work.

It's still has a Kaw for a heart after all. I really like the tanks. What kind of tank did it start as?

Great fab work, after all it takes talent to turn vision into something tangible.

Great job... Keep everyone posted.

Thanks mate, it was a hard call, but you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to source original cosmetic parts for it in South Africa, and when i got her they'd already hacked away at the rear, so restoration was practicaly unfathomable.
Her only hope of feeling the wind in her fins was a chop job, hopefully a descent one.

The tanks are 5gallon fat bobs. it was a nightmare getting the teardrop panelbeating sheet on a plank of wood, then finising off the sides with fiberfoam, resin and bondo.

anybody ever use these slashcut exhausts? iwhat do they do to performance cos they make her sound like nothing on earth!! every1 keeps commenting.....but im worried it's nailing the performance?

Well the only thoughts I might have as to whether the pipes are hurting your preformance is to "read " your plugs and see how they look. If the plugs are looking as they should, with no fouling or blistering, and you see the slightly darker "ring" on the tip insulator and dont notice any excessive smoke.. I'd think its doing ok.. after all your not running a stock air box and pipe...:) Just my 2 cents worth any way.

Thanks alot guys, i realise this is an acquired flavour of bike, but it's been the vision in my head for the last 15 years.
So im getting close to my initiation into spraying and finishwork and i'm looking for some ideas on the colours and pinstriping. I've done a mock up of my 'vision' in photoshop though i can't quite get the dark candy red (almost black at night) colour, and, the tank and sidecover pinstripe and frame should be a gold to copper colour........ is the closest i can get

Now i like my 'vision' , but i'm wondering what i'm not thinking of that perhaps one of u geniuses might:)
Lemme hear those suggestions, it'll be easy to do in P.S now and u can see what it looks like
Thanks yall from sunny South Africa
