Kano's Projects Z1000R and KZ1000J's

so its been a while since i posted any pictures of my bike so i thought id share some of the progress i've made while freezing my nuts off out in the shed.
fabrication of aircraft filler cap went well very happy with it all in all.
replaced handle bars with some super bike bars hopefully will be easier on my 3 bulging disks.
picked up a nice ignition cover kinda nice it thought.
mounted a belly pan need to do a little fiber glass work on it though to repair cracks.
mounted the twin headlight fairing i've had for 15 yrs and never go round to mounting it.
installed a set of accel coils and leads.
cleaned out my carbs from a failed tank coating that went horribly wrong.
thats all i can think of for now.

go racing strips and ill be done.

Looking mean kano, belly pan is a nice touch as well as the twin light fairing and filler cap, all coming together pretty smoothly by the looks of progress so far, gonna look heaps fast when she is painted up !!!

its already a much beater looking ride then you started with I like it and with the new paint it will be killer.

Hi guys. been a couple of weeks since the last update but first id like to thank everyone for their kind words and support with this project, i don't think i could have got this far with out you. I'd especially like to thank everyone who offered to help get my title and everyone who bought parts from me, these funds helped me get my bike to where you see it now.
i guess it go's to show you what a semi disabled person/stay at home dad can do in a shed with the help off his 3yr old daughter (kayleigh).

work done since last post.

cut 10 inches out of mid section of my exhaust, i didn't like it's previous position and i am at last happy with where it sits.

fabbed a new mounting bracket for exhaust.

fabbed 2 new stearing damper mounting clamps from a spare top yoak they are now mirror image of each other on the top of the fork tube's and look good.

new side stand removing old gpz one which never worked right.

repaired with fibre glassed the cut outs previous owner of the belly pan made and old mountig holes too.

filled everything and primed again and again till i was happy with all 7 pieces of body work.

Looks good!

I think your chin scoop needs to have the back end raised a little or the front end lowered a bit. It seems to point upwards somewhat. In the bright colors it's noticeable but not in the dark (first 2 pix) colors.

If you are looking for votes I'd go with photochop #2 the red and black 2 tone. Looks a bit more subdued and following the shapes of the bodywork makes it look somewhat factory.
