Ideas fir using a traditional motorcycle jack to lift KZ1300

I have the standard motorcycle jack with two 14” slats with handle and casters that will do 1500 pounds.

I am aware of a reinforced lift point on the underside of the engine.
Has anyOne managed to position a standard motorcycle jack and raise a KZ1300?
Maybe placing something on top of the slats to make solid contact with the frame or anywhere?

Welcome.

Most people use this folder to introduce themselves, a bit of personal history, pictures of the bike/bikes, that kind of thing.

Most users would set up a project thread to show the work they have done on that "project", then ask a question if they have a issue.

Sorry I don't have any solution to your problem, as I don't own a KZ1300. There are some on here that do own them so they can assist you.
In the mean time you should download a FSM (factory service manual) on this site and see if they have specific instructions on lifting the bike for service.

I had to make a jig to use my lift. I could have used a 4X4 block but then it would have been resting on the header and that wouldn't have worked very long. One side folds down to get under the bike then folds up to catch the frame on both sides. I jack up the lift and the left side catches it and the bike stands straight up on the lift. Only thing I can't do is take off the exhaust. It's trapped between the bike and the lift. I have to do that while it's standing free.
