Do you have a picture with the glossy one, or it is the same cover?

The 81-82 is the same cover: maroon color w 1982 KZ650-H2 CSR on the Front.
Part no. on the Back cover = 99924-1028-02.
I have the 81-82 FSM w glossy pages & a NOS 81-83 FSM w dull pages.
You could the get the 81-82 since yours in an 82 model.  Here's the 83 supplement page:

1983 KZ650 Supplement. there are also two F4 wiring diagrams in the 83 supplement (already scanned. I can link if needed).

Thanks mate! you have a lot of good information to share. Do you know where I can found the power in kw for each kz650 model? I didn't find it anywhere and I have an issue with the papers for registration. Apparently for my bike is written 37kw but is a mistake for sure...

The jarlef z650 site has the hp listed in the descriptions for some of the models, but I don't know where they got the numbers.
It says the 82 F3 is 67 hp. I think the earlier 650s w VM carburetors are in the 60-62 hp range or thereabouts.
I looked around EB at some ads & brochures but didn't find any performance info.

Slight lift in hp on the f3 came from being the first model to swop to 32mm CV carbs.
Earlier models with vm24's were 64bhp, with vm22's they were 62bhp.

Z1000J2 somewhat modified!

By nessism:  Don't we have the manual here?

Unlike the 750-4 chain drive FSM, the 81-83 KZ650 service manuals don't seem to have the engine performance numbers. not that I'm seeing, anyway.

Long time, no see. I am glad to anounce that after a long period of waiting, the project is almost done. Still some parts to be bought, others to be replaced but all in one, we are on the good track.
Unfortunatelly the exhaust is not in the best shape so I am still looking to buy another one (if you have a hint in Europe, please share it ?)
New Haidenau tyres looks very nice and classy.

Maybe not everyone will agree with me but I wanted so much to have the gearbox cover engraved with something Japanese, so I did. Result can be seen in the picture below. Opinions?

Wow ! almost an entire build thread in one post, I have fixed your pictures. Don't know what others think but I really like the clutch cover (subtle and classy)
