Old guy with a garage

Found this form and thought I should stop by and say hi. Going Sat morning to pick up a 1980 KZ 250 thumper in need of a little TLC.I have a soft spot for thumpers and have rebuilt a few SR 500 Yamahas and have a 1980 GN400 Suzuki. So hope you don't get too sick of my questions this winter.. John

I have a soft spot for thumpers. Learned on an XT250 and later rode my brother's XT600. I'd like an SRX600 but haven't found one that was both decent enough and affordable enough. I'll keep looking, though.

Well we will see if this works. Picked it up this morning and is a diamond in the ruff for sure. Has been sitting not license since 2003. A little carb spray and it started. Tank has been Kreemed but very poor job going to have to strip or replace but overall is a good buy will keep you all informed on progress. Have a few small projects to get out of the way first so won't get started until the new year.
