Hello From Southern Illinois

Hello everyone, just picked up a '76 KZ900 LTD. Been a while since I've had a street bike, but always wanted an old KZ. Bought it off a really good friend's Uncle, so I've known this bike since I was a teenager. He was the original owner and kept it in really good shape. The paints all original and in great shape. He had a lot of work done on the engine, it's got a 1075 big bore kit in it, 388 R.C. cams, Barnett clutch, oil pickup moved to rear of engine and a R.C. header. i would have much rather it be all stock, but at least he kept all the original parts which I got in the purchase. I learned he had fallen on hard times and was going to part it out, I got there after he had sold the carbs off of it. So after this post I'm heading over to the carb section for recommendations.

An Arizona sized Welcome! Nice looking ride there. Good luck finding some carbs and getting them tuned to your ride.

I bought a new Z-1 in 1975 and when that LTD came out, I thought jeeeeeeez why didn't I wait one more year!!!! Gorgeous scoot. BTW, am a 1979 graduate of SIU. Lived near Crab Orchard Lake for a couple of years and rode my Z all around that part of the state. Haven't been back since 1979, but would sure like to get back there again one of these days!
