Howdy. have you got any photos? I don't know much about the KZ1300, but supposedly the cam chain tensioner can be problematic, so I would look into that. Good luck with the project.

Hey guys, Aaron here. I am also new to this forum, as well as to the motorcycle world. I just purchased my first bike a KZ1000 P. It has some issues that need to be addressed things that I want to remove from it, but other than that its a strong running bike. I know for a fact that the cam chain tensioner needs to be replaced and that's the first order of business. So any advice would be much appreciated.

How do know the cam tensioner needs replacing?
