Hello all, my name is Joe. I recently purchased a 79 Kawasaki 650 kz. It is a custom build cafe racer style. I really love it and am going to enjoy getting to know it better. I am hoping with some assistance from this forum I can sort this motorcycle out.
The previous owner said it is about 90% original to the 79 but we will see. I definitely know the wiring has changed, so I'll be looking for help eventually. I love the way it rides, and it is pretty nimble for a 79. I have only owned sport bikes, so this is a great change of pace for me.

Looks like the rear wheel is visible under the seat.
Might want to add the plastic inner fender if you do any riding in wet conditions.



Oh, and she looks to be an F model, which started in 1980, unless she's a B model with F wheels.

That bike was built by a buddy Chris in San Antonio.
there's a build thread on KZ650info. site under squirrel nuts performance.

So you in S.A or in centex ?.

Thanks for the heads up. I believe it's a B model. That's what the VIN says KZ650B

Yeah I recently purchased it from Chris. He told me about the other forum, but I have yet to be accepted to that one. It's a cool motorcycle. I think Chris did a great job with it. I am in San Antonio.
