New Member, Portland, OR. 1981 KZ440 LTD

Hi guys! Thanks for the add. I've been lurking for a while but this is my first post.

This is my first Kawasaki, and also my first bike in over 10 years. 1981 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD. I bought it a couple of weeks ago for $50 with a clean title. There was rust in the tank and the seat was hammered. It hasn't ran in 8 years. I sourced a whole basket case parts bike for $40 with a rust free tank and like new seat and side panels. I bought a battery and discovered the engine has compression and spark in both cylinders. I'm cleaning the carbs today.

Welcome, 440s are tough little engines as long as the oil and gas are clean.
