New guy from Memphis, TN

Hey guys. I thought I'd finally make an account after I kept having to come search through this forum for the answers I needed.

I got a 1980 kz550 ltd in a trade for a Peugeot 103 about 6 months ago, and finally took delivery of the bike right before Halloween.
I'm new to 4 strokes, but not new to bikes. I've been riding and working on a 1974 Kawasaki g3ss-d for awhile now, but wanted something a little bigger to play with.



Right now I have the kz550 apart and the carbs at a local shop getting put through an ultrasonic bath to get the crud out of them. Hopefully I'll have the bike back to rights by spring. I have some big plans for this bike once I get the basic issues covered.

Welcome! My wife and I go to Memphis regularly to visit her family since we left. I usually bring a bike along and we're tweaking a CB750 for her dad so he and I go for rides like up through Shelby Forest. Maybe we'll see you riding around.
