Hello everyone, I'm most of the way through my Cafe'-Bobbed'Chopped' version of an old 1978 KZ650. As a matter of fact got my new seat in today, And basically all that is left is some cosmetic work.
Thought it would be a good idea to join an online community of people with the same type of bike.
last pic is the latest mock-up of how I may dress her up. (i've waffled quite a bit on the design..too may options!)

It appears that a previous owner pulled a switcheroo on the engine. I believe you will find that engine is from a 1979 KZ650. Ed

Or, perhaps an even simpler answer would be that I have a 79'? The mechanical work was done before I got it. (Did some work on trade for to get it)
