First project bike was created by Austin.C
Hello. Just bought my first bike. It's a KZ750 and mostly disassembled. I'm planning on finishing the tear-down, then rebuilding. The tank has already been sanded but I would like to stick to the original paint scheme.
This isn't my first bike I've worked on, my mom has a Honda VF500 that I keep up maintenance on and ride most the time, and she has a Honda VF1000 w/ the R engine. That is my other rebuild project that I want to own.

Welcome, do you have all the parts? Does it turn over? How long has it been sitting out side with the carbs off? More pics?

I was told it ran 4 years ago, but it has been sitting ever since.
All the big ticket parts seem to be with the bike, but I still have to inventory what I have/need.
I will have more pic tonight.

After working on a VFR you will appreciate the simplicity and ease of working on the KZs. I love riding my VF500 but I hate working on it.

I dont find a VFR too much trouble to work on, but I have noticed how simple the KZ is coming apart.

Welcome, it does appear that you have your work cut out for you but you are making a good start! Love to see them brought back from the dead! Keep us posted!

So the old Rocker gets out his bike to make a ton before he takes his leave. Up on the A1 by Scotch Corner
just like it used to be. And as he flies --- tears in his eyes ---
his wind-whipped words echo the final take and he hits the trunk road doing around 120 with no room left to brake.

That's a Honda speedo. ECH  Looks like it's been sitting out in the elements. Crossing my fingers for you.
