Mine would never fetch that much money. It's a 75 Z1b but a lot on non stock parts. I built it to enjoy and that is what I'm doing. There have been low lives trying to convince me it's not worth much. That's because they want it and will say anything to get it. If what you have is bone stock, you can rechrome parts and buy what you need to keep it original. When they're gone, they're gone.
My front fender cost $250. Kawasaki. It's the first thing people see and then the tank. All and all about $3000 and worth every penny to me. I bought it new as a demo for $2300 with 84 miles on it. Rode out of the show room with a grin from ear to ear. I'll ride it until I can't anymore, then give it to my daughter.
You can't buy memories and the adventure it gave me.

I am not a cafe' fan..............but it seems to be the trend in some places.........but I wouldn't do it with the Z1
Keep as original as possible........maybe wheels and suspension change but don't change anything that cannot be reversed if necessary. I personally think a Z1 in its original clothes is nothing short or awesome!!
BUT in the end it is your bike............do with it what you like and have fun with it.

It looks good but it has Z1 parts mixed with KZ parts. I missed out on a barn find 75 Z1b for $2500. If I hadn't had to buy my daughter a car so she could leave and keep her children, I would have bought it, exchanged parts, fixed the engine with what I have on hand, sold it and my bike would've been free. SHT
I want a 04 Chevy Malibu too. That's OK, she uses it to bring my granddaughters to visit and is free to live her life without being trapped by anyone.

You're not kidding! I would already have the trailer packed and be on my way to make the trade. Ed

On the mountain behind my place are two 40 AC parcels on top. A guy cut in a illegal road to them, got caught, now he can't do anything wit it. Cut across mountain conservancy land, blocked a "blue line stream", destroyed habitat etc, BS! He was land locked. That's illegal. On a bright clear day I plan on taking Bossie up there for some pics. You can see all of the Coachella valley from up there. All the way from PS to the Salton Sea. He wants $100,000 for one parcel. Wish I could buy it.

Thanks for all the input! After thought and consideration I think we're gonna clean it up and get it running and road worthy and sell it. Help fund a different project. I'm hoping someone on here can give me advice on where and what numbers to locate to see what this bikes really all about? It has the original owners manual and tool kit too!

This link will tell you everything you need to know about the numbers.

Tool kit could be worth a couple hundred on it's own.

There was an article/sale on eBay. A seller got tired of sellers selling fake tool kits. Nice lady but she disappeared.
