Hello from Ireland

Hello guys, just stumbled here and really impressed by how well organised it looks!
Have a 1981 Z1000J1 since new (ELR'd as you can see), parked it up about 15 years ago with 100,000 miles clocked. I'm finally considering a rebuild and want to do something different from standard. Maybe fancy doing a cafe racer style project.
Anyway, looking forward to contributing and learning a lot from this excellent forum!
;-)

A lot to work with. More than most. I hope you don't bugger it up like some. There are fine examples here of what to and not to do. If I hadn't had Bossie so long, I'd be tempted to upgrade her like a few here. WILD.
Welcome
Steve

Thanks Steve - don't worry, I won't bugger it up! I've owned this machine too long to do that. It's like a lifelong old friend to me now. :)

I know how you feel. I bought mine in 75. Rode out of the show room with a grin ear to ear. She had 84 miles on it as it was a demo model. Got it for $2300 instead of $2800. No one can hold me back now, so I thought.

Thanks, just in the planning stage now really. I'm not going to pull it apart until services, spares etc., all worked out. I've seen too many machines stripped never to go back together again! I'll be glad to share the experience here once it gets going.
