Hey everyone!

Todd here! New to this forum, and to bikes in general for that matter. I have always loved bikes but haven't had to extra funds to have one till now. Anywho it's a 1981 KZ550 LTD chain drive, it needs a lot of work. First on the list is to clean the carbs really well. This will the be my first time ever cleaning carbs so any advice is greatly appreciated! Also if anyone had any recommendations in general with this bike I would love to hear them! Hopefully I can get some pictures up, enjoy! Pictures will follow progress of course! Thanks in advance everyone!

Welcome aboard. See link below for some general guidance. Regarding the carbs; I recommend you don't take them all apart at the same time, but regardless of how you decide to clean them, don't mix parts from one carb to another. The parts tend to wear together and mixing them between carbs can cause problems. Ed
