Hello from deep southern illinois!!!

Hello, just wanted to take a second to introduce myself before I hit you all up with a million questions. My name is Lucas. I live in the bottom tip of southern illinois. I just picked up my first kawasaki yesterday, and this forum seems like it may be just what i need to try to bring it back to life. I stumbled upon a 1980 kz 750 G Twin and was able to pick it up for about $500. it has a few mechanical issues, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be anything I can't tackle. I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys in the future. Thank you!!!!

got it updated. you are actually only about an hour and a half from me. when i get this thing running, it would be a nice ride to kentucky for sure.

SIU-Carbondale graduate. Haven't been back there since 1979. Had a 75 Z1B when I was there and enjoyed scooting around the "southern hills". Really nice in the Spring and Fall.

Wow, I'm surprised by how many people on here know where Carbondale is. Most people from northern illinois and surrounding states consider springfield southern illinois as if the other 4 hours south of there do not exist haha.
