New rider: 1980 KZ440-B
08 Sep 2013 00:19
Hi everyone,
I just bought my first motorized-cycle last week and am loving it so far. I live outside of Sacramento and really enjoy cruising in the great wide open. My idle was a little irregular so I brought the bike in to a mechanic and he said one of my carbs sounded a bit gummed up, but everything else seems like it's in good working order. I want to learn all the attendant secrets and mysteries of being a kz-rider, so I thought this forum would be a good start.

Welcome !
I have a soft spot for the 440 as this was my first legitimate streetbike. Bought it brand new in 1980, rode the crap out of it for about 20,000 miles. Rode from Wenatchee Washington to San Francisco and back once.
There are piles of info on this forum !!

Saucedog, welcome to the forum! Can't say I know much about the twins, but we are neighbors! I work in Elk Grove and live in Lodi. Good luck with your new bike. Paul
