After going about 25 years without riding, I finally just couldn't take it any more! I decided I needed a green GPZ 750 or 1100, and it had to be a twin shock model to look at close to an ELR as possible without actually being one. So here's my new baby!

Came like that. I'd been watching ebay for one like it, and my patience finally paid off. It'll need a few things over the winter, but for the most part it's in great shape for 31 years old. Runs great, I've logged nearly 1000 miles in less than 2 weeks already. Unfortunately, it looks like rain all weekend. :(

Welcome to KZR...the previous owner of your motorcycle posted photos of the bike in the KZ Gallery. Nice looking GPz750 (AKA ELR).

Thanks for the info, I'll need to hunt those pics down. I like to consider it to be an ELR-R (Eddie Lawson replica, replica). In any case, I am really wondering, why did I go 25 years without riding!

Extremely nice bike. And it looks like the real deal. I was away from riding for 20 years, B) I guess I saw a few people close to my age which I have known pass away for various reasons, I want make sure I get the most out of life. Hell, my own doctor passed away last year at 41 years old. I'm learning how to play the guitar too, ha!: LOL.

Thanks, I knew they weren't original, but had no idea what they were from. I'm embarrassed to say my knowledge of motorcycles is pretty much limited to it has to be a Kawasaki, and preferably an air-cooled 4 cylinder (I figured that out 25 years ago). But I am reading and learning as I go along. Just going through the forums here has been educational and interesting. It seems like a lot of good people are here and eager to help.
