First bike in 15 years..life is good, cheers!!

Greetings ladies and gentlemen,
Once upon a time I ramped a 100cc Yamaha Midnight Special over a gravel road and giggled for weeks like a 14 year does when something stupid and awesome happens.
So...haven't had a bike since, 29 years old now, 8 years and going in the Army Reserves, recently divorced, decided last week to FINALLY do what I've always wanted to....get a bike.
1981 Kz1000 Ltd is going to fulfill #4 on my bucket list...get a bike, learn everything I can about motorcycling and repair, then disappear for a month by having adventures.
Really don't even know what questions to ask yet, just wanted to introduce myself to the community and let you folks know I have no shame, so I'm going to be asking tons of questions!!HA.
