New Cali member

I just picked up my first Z1 (one of the first 100 built) so I thought I would introduce myself to the group. Though the bike looks wonderful the work done to it by the previous owner leaves a little to be desired. Unfortunately, it is also missing some of the cool stuff such as the chain oiler and the correct unribbed carbs. It also has remanufactured instruments and switch gear but I shouldn't complain. I'm currently trying to get it to run as the Dyna S ignition was not hooked up right and electrics are not my strength. I actually don't have any strengths as I am discovering while trying to rebuild a '71 H2. IF anyone is in the Long Beach area and would be willing to come over and take a look at the ignition I got a cold beer waiting for you.

i recently installed a dyna-s on my kz-1000 and i live in long beach!!! i have the instructions form my unit and would give you a helping hand on the install. im no expert but i have done my own work on my kz to get it back on the road. its running great.
