Hello all from a biker chick in MI

I have been a member of the site for 4 years and realized I had never posted my "formal" introduction. I have a 78 KZ650 w/ a quicksilver night stalker fairing & some tuned headers and a 79 KZ650 (parts bike until the 78 is perfect again). The 78 is my baby sold to me by my uncle years ago. He put it thru hell and back and then into storage for 6 years before I got it. And after a new battery and a little TLC and cleaning, she started right up (and even scared my hubby when he took it for a test ride). She's been damn near "bullet proof" and I love the beast. I say "beast" as I have it covered in 3 inch black fake fur. I'm a weird one, and I originally did it to compensate for a bad bondo job mid-season before I got the parts bike. Since then, I enjoy it so much, I peeled it off the old tank and onto the new. Put it all on w/ high quality spray tack and it works like a charm. Best yet, when I finally decide on a paint, it all comes back off w/ no damage to the bike/paint underneath.

I have asked some questions here in the past and everyone has always bee incredibly helpful. Thanx a ton everybody!

I call my 1300 a beast because it weighs 750 pounds, but to each their own, haha.

Sorry to be a little gun-shy about waving to bikers with horns on furry bikes. :lol:

Welcome to KZR by the way. I saw a guy in Daytona riding a bike covered in grass, I have no idea how he got the sod to stay but it did. I gotta see the furry 650
