Greetings from CT
18 May 2009 06:04 - 18 May 2009 06:08
Hello all! I'm newbie Joe from CT. I currently have a 1981 KZ 1000 CSR that I picked up from a friend. Being free, I have yet to complain. I am mechanically inclined with cars but not so much with bikes. I know it is basically the same concept, but it IS foreign ground. When I got the bike, it wasn't running and had a massive fuel leak. Slowly but surely, it has gotten better. (I am going to be posting some questions though)
I look forward to meeting some of you here as well as on the road. If you want to know more, just ask! (of course there is a $5 fee for any honest answer:P )
I have also included a couple pics of my bike for your viewing pleasure...

Hello and welcome Joe. I promise that we wont hold it against you that you are from CT or the mural on the gas tank  Just don't do it again. :silly: Just think of your bike as a half of a car with a much better power to weight ratio, and you will do just fine in the mechanical department.

Otakar, what's wrong with CT? Where else can you get terrible weather, high taxes, ridiculously high insurance rates and horrible roads? As far as the mural goes, it was on there when I got the bike and is going to disappear as soon as I can afford it. Thanks for the welcome!

Hey Joe, I got yer back too! I'm in Wethersfield right next to Boots. Remember, there's safety in numbers, especially when your talking about those Illinois guys! What town are you in, maybe the three of us could hook up and get a ride going. That is as soon as I get my KZ back on the road. (Electrical issue)
Let me know if there's anything I can help you with.
